The new Desert Regional Center Administration Building will be replacing the existing Administration building, this new building with industrial appearance of a concrete masonry unit (CMU) as basic aesthetic as part of the Desert Regional Center’s community. The new administration building construction will be durable, fireproof and transform the performance of a building envelope with a range of shapes and sizes to create contemporary CMU design.
The 2 stories of new contemporary CMU design wall soften the eye to the new administration building from Jones Blvd. road and sidewalk. The CMU wall made with diamond patterns of stacked blocks that forms a changing pattern of subtle shadings. The block colors and horizontal banding were chosen to be sympathetic to patterning on neighborhood campus buildings surround Desert Regional Center campus.
19,600 sf new facility includes 2 training rooms, 4 conference rooms, 18 office rooms and 1,200 sf open office area.
