The El Paso Behavioral Health Hospital will accommodate approximately 160-beds; most patient rooms will be double occupancy (2 beds) with bathroom and showers in each room. There will be a commercial kitchen, dining area, nursing station, half court indoor gymnasium, patient operated laundry facilities, and outdoor courtyards. The gym will be used for basic physical recreational activities. The Proposed facility will focus on in-patient and outpatient acute psychiatric care for adults, seniors, children/teens, and military. The hospital does not treat medical conditions or illness and will not contain an emergency room, use medical gas, or perform surgeries.
The two-story facility is located on a plateau in central El Paso with excellent views of the Franklin Mountains and El Paso Valley. Inpatient services include education, recreation, and occupational therapy as well as both indoor and outdoor dining and activity areas.
